In search of the Magic Light; MAGIA LUMEN is a musical journey guided by cobbled-together, tinkered, disordered, crepuscular sounds. MAGIA LUMEN is a two-part project : Face A features recent tracks co-written by Chacho, Jean l’Asticot and dianita. Face B is a return to the roots, when Chacho & friends was originally Chacho’s solo project.

The record opens gently with a floating and aquatic motif, before venturing into darker depths. The voices are distant then draw closer together to create endless loops and repetitions over and over again. Influenced by lo-fi rock, some parts of the journey are more rhythmic and upbeat, while others offer a more experimental and timeless sonic atmosphere. The idea was to create a floating, immersive project with no breaks, continually forming and distorting sounds and textures. The rhythm is perpetually changing ; sometimes we wait for it, we immerse ourselves in it, sometimes we chase after it. Repetitive bass, interspersed drums, crunchy guitar, atmospheric sounds – everything builds up and then intertwines.
